Prtg Free Version 10/7/2019 PRTG just stepped up their number of free sensors from 40 to 100. We have been a PRTG customer for a few years now, on their 100 sensor package. Right now we have no details yet about when a new version of 19.x.51 will be available. So for now, please ignore the warning for 'Age of Code' or raise the limit in the channel if you like. Therefore please disregard this warning as it is nothing wrong with your PRTG. Sometimes you may need to use the 64bit version of Powershell for some special queries. But as PRTG is a 32bit application it cannot create 64bit child processes. You have to add an additional layer between the Powershell and PRTG to get this running. With the free version of PRTG, you get 100 sensors that never expire. On average, you’ll need 10 sensors for each of your network devices. You can also choose to set up a much 'lighter” monitoring environment – such as via the use of a single SNMP sensor to monitor traffic or one ping sensor for monitoring availability. Core Health sensor reports this message '91 d (Age of Code) is above the warning limit of 90 d in Age of Code. Please consider upgrading to the latest version to improve security and stability'. Check Auto-update and no new version is found. With that said, how can I down the latest version to install over the existing installation. Currently my existing version is 19.2.50.2842. Please advise.

Thank you for reaching out to Paessler Technical Support.
This is a known issue and it is not an alert to be concerned about, it is something we are working on and we are aware that the problem is on our end. The reason is because we released version 19.3.51.2725, but then removed it from the updater as some issues came up in several installations, so we stopped the release and are working on a new stable version. The circumstance that 19.x.51 was already pretty late on track combined with that we had to pull it again now lead to that the limit of 'Age of Code' was hit.
Right now we have no details yet about when a new version of 19.x.51 will be available. So for now, please ignore the warning for 'Age of Code' or raise the limit in the channel if you like. Therefore please disregard this warning as it is nothing wrong with your PRTG.

We intend to use PRTG monitor in an environment with no Internet access > installation and execution offlineAfter installing PRTG monitor trial version for test purpose on a Windows server 2016 running in a VM environment, I have to active the trial Licence.I select 'French' during installation wizard.The VM has only a loopback interface defined 127.0.0.1
From the URL 'http://127.0.0.1/activation.htm', I select 'Manual (offline activation)'.Then the web page display my licence details in STEP 2

I copy/paste these information to the 'https://www.paessler.com/activation' web page from another computer connected to the Internet.I get an activation.dat file.
Coming back to STEP 4 of the action process, i copy/paste the content of activation.dat file to activation data text block then press 'Activate the licence'
The activation page is refresh but still with messageStatus of license:Not activated (Failed to establish secure connection Socket Error # 11001 Host not found.)
I also tried the option 'Load from file' activation.dat instead of copy/paste of the content but it's also failing.
What to do next ?Is there any log file to troubleshoot the activattion process ?

You need to replace the existing 'activation.dat' in PRTG's installation path with the one that was generated on https://www.paessler.com/activation
Stop PRTG's services before replacing the file, you can do this using PRTG Administration Tool.

Hi Erhard,I didn't find any activation.dat file in my local server running Windows Server 2016.I had a look in the following fodlers :- C:Program Files (x86)PRTG Network Monitor (strange I used the 64 bits installer but PRTG has been installed in x86 folder- C:ProgramDataPaessler
I also search in C: drive but no activatin.dat except the one I copied to download folder locally.

If I recall correctly, in the end it worked after saving 'activation.dat' generated on https://www.paessler.com/activation to PRTG's installation path.
If that doesn't work or in case you have further questions, please contact us by email about the issue ([email protected]) and send us a zip of folder 'C:ProgramDataPaesslerPRTG Network MonitorLogs (System)' as attachment.
